The 29th SIDS (Screening Information Data Set) Initial Assessment Meeting was held in Hague the Netherlands on 20th-22nd October 2009. The initial assessment documents of 21 substances (SIDS Initial Assessment: 17 substances; Initial Targeted Assessment: 4 substances) were discussed and the conclusions of initial risk assessment for 20 substances (SIDS Initial Assessment: 17 substances; Initial Targeted Assessment: 3 substances) were approved at the meeting. The Japanese Government submitted the SIDS initial assessment documents for two substances Benzaldehyde 4-methoxy-iCASF123-11-5jand 4-(1-Methylethenyl) phenoliCASF4286-23-1jprepared by the Japanese Government and both were approved at the meeting.
